Breaking New: Ajimobi Government Demolishes Yinka Ayefele’s Music House

True to its popular pace setter appellation; ‘Ajise bi Oyo Laa ri, Oyo kii se bi baba eni kankan’. The unthinkable happened in the ancient city of Ibadan today, Sunday August 19, 2018 when the state government demolished Yinka Ayefele’s N800m Music House.

The demolition exercise, World Street Journal reports came in defiance of a court case on the propriety or otherwise of government’s demolition notice.

The Abiola Ajimobi government had, last week, issued a demolition notice to the physically challenged musician on account of building the structure too close to the Challenge-Ring road expressway.

Ayefele’s spokesperson, David Ajiboye had described the demolition threat as politically motivated.

WSJ reliably gathered that the demolition exercise commenced at about 5:30 Sunday morning.

Details later….
